What we collect
Only what you choose to send us through the contact form on this site: your name, your email address, your company or organisation, and the content of your message.
We run no analytics, no advertising, and no behavioural tracking. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell or rent personal data.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies. It stores nothing in your browser, makes no third-party requests, and serves its fonts from its own domain, so no outside service receives your IP address when a page loads. Checked 1 September 2026.
What happens to a form submission
Contact form submissions are delivered to us by email. They are not retained in this website’s database. We use your email address to answer you, and for nothing else.
Legal basis
We process what you send because it is necessary to take steps at your request and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. Where a legal obligation applies, we process on that basis instead.
How long we keep it
We keep what you send us only for as long as it is reasonably needed to answer you and to maintain our business records. We delete personal data once it is no longer needed for that original purpose, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Who receives it
Bluehost is our hosting and email provider. It hosts this website and delivers contact form submissions to our Metalinxx mailbox through its email service. Bluehost may process technical information, including IP addresses and server logs, for hosting, security, reliability and operational purposes. We do not use those logs for advertising or profiling, and we do not control what they contain.
Other than Bluehost, no third-party service receives personal information submitted through this site.
Where it is processed
Metalinxx and its hosting are in the United States. If you contact us from the EU or UK, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. Where it applies, you can ask us to provide it in a portable form. Write to info@metalinxx.io and we will normally respond within one month.
We will delete what you ask us to delete unless we have a legal or legitimate reason to keep it, and we will tell you if that is the case.
If you are in the EU or UK and are unsatisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse and disclosure. No method of transmission or storage over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Links to other sites
Links to GitHub, crates.io and PyPI are ordinary outbound links. Clicking one takes you to a third-party site with its own privacy policy, and that service may collect information about your visit once you leave ours. We do not send personal information to them through those links.

If this policy changes we will update the review date at the top of this page.
